How the Packaging Line Works

This integrated end-of-line packaging system is specifically designed for the pharmaceutical industry, providing automatic case packing and palletizing for pharmaceutical cartons while supporting GMP requirements.

The process begins with a blister packaging machine, where tablets, capsules or other pharmaceutical products are formed into blister packs. Multiple blister cards are then automatically inserted into pharmaceutical folding cartons through an automatic cartoning machine.

The finished cartons are transferred to the case packing section. An automatic case erector forms corrugated shipping cases and seals the bottom flaps with adhesive tape before delivering them to the robotic loading station.

An ABB industrial robot automatically picks and packs pharmaceutical cartons into shipping cases according to preset packing patterns. The robotic case packing system provides accurate handling and stable operation with a capacity of up to 6 cycles per minute.

After case packing, cartons are automatically sealed. A side labeling system applies shipping labels, identification labels, batch information and logistics labels to support product traceability.

The sealed cases are reinforced by an automatic PP strapping machine before being transferred to the robotic palletizing station. The robot palletizer arranges cases onto pallets according to programmed stacking patterns for stable storage and transportation.

The major structural components of the case erector and case sealer are manufactured from SUS304 stainless steel, providing durability, corrosion resistance and easy cleaning.

The complete system can be integrated with serialization, barcode verification, vision inspection and track-and-trace systems to support modern pharmaceutical manufacturing requirements.
